Pear??? Me...???

This is the shape of my body.  Or... so I'm told.  What do you think?

Okay, yeah.  I see it.  So, I've accepted my fate as a pear.  Does this mean that I'm doomed to a lifetime of big hips?  Yep.  Does it mean that I cannot get more toned?  Nope.

I have a new goal, and it's to become a firm and toned pear.  But not necessarily to lose much more weight.

I'm pretty darn happy with my shape and size right now.  I would love to lose a few more hip inches, but I know that it will take time and lots of exercise and healthy habits.

I'm willing to put in the work to get my dream body!

Rose may be more hourglass than pear, but I think that her hips/legs are a realistic goal for me.
I believe that I will get there with cardio, lunges, squats, and more cardio.  And hopefully some day I will be able to put together a good strength training routine, but that will have to come next year, because this year is FULL.

What is your body shape?

Are you learning to embrace it?

Are you willing to put in the work to get to your ideal level of toned/firmed hotness that you desire (or maybe you are already there and have to work to maintain it)?

P.S.  I was down .8 at Saturday's weigh-in!  And my new eating plan is still going well.

Technically, I am considered an "hourglass figure", but please do not assume that my body looks like Selma Hayek right now, lol. With toning and concentration, I believe that I can get there.

I have no idea what shape I am. You've seen pics of me. Any idea?

I would love to get my stomach and my butt/hips area down a little more and in time I believe I'll get there.

I think you look amazing! You have done such a great job and your hard work is so inspiring.

Well, I'm a pear/hourglass - I don't know what the difference is and I do love my body type. It's taken me a long time to get where I am now, but it's worth it. I'd love to put the time into getting toned, and I might have the time since my back been bugging me and I think running is going to be put on the back burner for a while. I'm hoping to post about it later.

i'm a banana and not really sure how i feel about that revelation??? lol!

i know that no matter what weight i am at my pants never fit my waist and if they do they are falling off my bum -- as i am built like a boy with no waist and very little hips -- yet i do have curves and am pretty proportioned?

well, gotta split -- ha, bad joke!

Technically I'm a pear too, yes I have learned to embrace it! Countless numbers of men have told me women with no hips and tiny butts are just not that sexy. I think a little pear is definitely okay. even with lots of exercise I always seem to be this way, because when the bottom shrinks the top seems to as well... :-)

The only real difference between an hourglass and a pear is that a pear doesn't have the boobs. So, there's no reason you can't slim your hips a bit, if that's what you want. :-) You'll always have that curve from the waist to the hips, but I happen to really love that curve! I would never want to be one of the straight up and down women. (I'm an hourglass.)

I'm a pear, too! I always thought I was an hourglass because someone made that comment to me once (in high school), but I learned that hourglasses have very close if not the same measurements in hips and bust. My hips are a good 6 inches wider than my bust... I'm a pear! haha

I've come to accept it. I like my curves...I just want them a little (or a lot) smaller. :) I can get there, I know I can!
